We Are One Big Family

The coaches, families, cheerleaders, and dancers make our cheer & dance program very special.  Our experienced coaching staff improves team skills, technique development, and leadership enhancement. Coupled with a genuine concern for each participant, our primary coaching goal is to create an environment & experience that promotes TEAM SPIRIT and FUN!  We are more than coaches. We are mentors to our cheerleaders and dancers. The Cheer & Dance Connection is here to serve the families and community of Colorado

  • Beginning a career in modeling dance, cheer, and physical fitness at fifteen, Vel has an impressive résumé. She has created and developed a successful business model emphasizing creating a sense of belonging within the community.

A franchise owner of WEBBY Dance Company www.webbydancecompany.com since 2005, she became the owner and director of The Cheer and Dance Connection (TCDC) in 2010 after she and her husband, David, relocated their family from California to Fort Collins, Colorado, as they imagined a better quality of life. They have not been disappointed.

An innovative entrepreneur, she says, “I love what I do and who I do it with!” Because of her authentic and generous heart for people and a commitment to excellence, she has built a reputation in Northern Colorado for providing affordable, quality programs referred to as “The best recreational programs in town.” The cheer and dance family continues to thrive, expand, and grow.

The special needs Panther Dance Team is at the heart of her professional objectives. This team has been together since 2010, and it is a community favorite at all performance events.

Married to her husband, David, an executive chef currently the operations manager of The Foundry at Colorado State University, she says, “We are truly blessed.” With three daughters (two carrying on her legacy owning cheer and dance businesses), a son, three son-inlaws, and four grandchildren, Vel and the Green family are all about enjoying life, making lasting memories, making a difference for good, and giving back within the community while creating lifelong personal and business relationships.

Giving Back

This program provides opportunities for your child to make community outreach a part of their lives. In keeping with our team "spirit" focus, we are all about putting smiles on the faces of special groups in our hometowns.  We help show our kids that serving others and giving back to the community and those in need are an important part of life.

Some of our community involvement include:
Visiting Senior Homes
Volunteering our time at Respite Care in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Cheering at local schools, parades, and charity events
Helping local homeless shelters.
Offering free cheer workshops/clinics
